''Inhuman Rampage'' is the third studio album by English power metal band DragonForce, released on 9 January 2006 and 20 June 2006 in North America. In America, the album reached number 1 in the Billboards Heatseekers chart; it also reached No. 103 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart; and its first single "Through the Fire and Flames" has received rock radio and Fuse TV airplay, as well as a place as playable track on the video game ''Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock''. The album has gone Silver in the UK,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.bpi.co.uk/platinum/platinumright.asp?rq=search_plat&r_id=32891 ) 〕 has sold over 350,000 units in the US〔Cohen, Jonathan. ("Slipknot Edges The Game For No. 1 Spot" ). ''Billboard''. 3 September 2008.〕 and more than half a million worldwide. This is one of three DragonForce albums to feature harsh vocals, the others being ''The Power Within'' and ''Maximum Overload''. On this album the vocals were originally performed by Lindsay Dawson of Demoniac and are performed live by Frédéric Leclercq.
==Sound==
The sound of the album is overall more aggressive than the band's previous two albums, having a more thick sound in the guitar, and the vocals of Theart are more aggressive as well, at times being raspier, louder (especially during the time when he sings higher than normally). And sometimes backing him up, was Lindsay Dawsons unclean screaming vocals. The lyrics were also a bit darker at times. But despite all of this, the uplifting sound still remained.
